When his estranged heavy metal rock star father dies in a tragic lion accident, Lloyd Steflan - an O'Hare airport baggage claim handler and closet rapper - inherits Epic Studios in Toronto. Unfortunately, the studio, a bygone recording mecca, is to be turned into condos by a local real estate tycoon. Lloyd vows to restore the studio to its former glory and save it from the wrecking ball. Epic Studios is a character-driven comedy with music videos embedded in episodes.
